Cabarita is an expression of the magnificent coast line which encompasses the beautiful Tweed Shire. The grass-littered sand creates a striking juxtaposition with the rolling waves and the dark, rocky headland. With the smallest hint of human inhabitance, the fence line indicating the walking tack of the area gives the landscape a new direction, showing how humans make their mark on the land. In contrast, this art work denotes how the natural environment has impacted on the artist as he has many fond memories of the area, with surfing as a teenager and his wedding ceremony in 2009.
