Waterford West

It was fantastic to return to Waterford West State School and continue to work alongside the fabulous P&C. I’m still receiving great feedback on the Tuckshop and the positive affirmation murals completed recently. This time around my services were utilised in the prep undercover play area.

I developed 3 site specific design concepts and the school chose one that should make for a fun backdrop and potential learning tool. The design is a good example of the negative space being more important that the painted sections and I’m really satisfied how well it works in the space.

A huge thanks to the P&C team for seeing this project come to fruition.

Flagstone

I was recently tasked with applying a mural for the Student Council Representatives at Flagstone State Community College who supplied the design. The mural was an initiative dedicated to a principal who passed and had left a positive impact and legacy within the school community. A big thanks to the students and staff who made this happen, it was a pleasure to represent the Flagstone Foxes.

Peak Crossing

It was great to return to the traditional lands of the Mununjali, Wangerriburra and Ugarapul Peoples. For this project design options were developed and the school students picked the winner to be applied on a large wall at Peak Crossing State School. The winning concept entails of the iconic Peak Crossing landscape including Flinders Peak, Ivorys Rock and some local animals. I always enjoy the painting process, hearing the kookaburras laughing while I was painting their images was a joy. A big thanks to the P&C team for making this project come to fruition.

Guluguba

I enjoyed my time at Guluguba State School where I painted local flora, fauna and historical elements. The place name is an indigenous word from the Iman people meaning squatters pigeon, a threatened species.

The rough texture of the surface made it challenging however I’m really satisfied with the detail packed in to this one.

Toowong

It was great to connect with St Ignatius Toowong and complete a mural in conjunction with the schools 120 year celebrations. The design incorporates the old and the new with the school steeped in history and now nestled amongst the modern cityscape.

Coalstoun Lakes

It was a pleasure to return to Coalstoun Lakes State School. I completed a number of murals at the school in 2014 with a previous principal. Thanks to school staff and students for making me again feel welcome, I thoroughly enjoyed the project and it’s great to see a school develop a set of values unique to the local community.

Bundamba

After completing the Library mural at Bundamba State School last year it was great to return. This time I applied murals at the basketball court and brightened up the tuckshop which was in dire need of a fresh coat of paint.

Daisy Hill

It was great to contribute to the upcoming 150 year celebrations at Daisy Hill State School. Formally known as Slacks Creek State School, the design reflects the schools mascot “Daisy” the koala and some of the uniforms over the schools history. The design also references the eucalypt tree planting program which is unique to Daisy Hill State School a story which can also be used as a learning tool. Keep an eye out for the celebrations later this month.

Regents Park

After completing a staircase, uniform shop & tuckshop in recent years I returned to Regents Park State School. This time I painted a couple of undercover play area walls. The design features Wajin who is the schools Platypus mascot and the STAR values.

Update 8th July 2023 MPA Mural featuring disco themed Wajin and STAR values

Ormeau

It was a pleasure to return to Livingstone Christian College at Ormeau prior to the the Easter break. I facilitated several workshops with a variety of students as part of the annual arts showcase & battle of the band celebrations. Thanks goes out to the Arts Department for putting on an organised and enjoyable program.
