Arts Fest Week

I had a fantastic time in the role of Artist in Residence at Calvary Christian College. Arts students participated in one or more of seven workshops creating individual and group works on canvas for the schools Arts Fest Exhibition. Aerograffix showcased aerosol art and stencil techniques during three demonstrations and completed a music block mural to ensure Arts Fest was a very productive week.

Barcaldine SHS & St Joseph's

It was great to return to Barcaldine and get busy with plenty of artwork. During the week long project I worked with students and teachers to complete two murals and over thirty works on canvas. It was great to hear so many positive comments and hopefully inspire some of the many creative students at both the State School and St Joey’s.

Blackall State School

Making the most of the recent beautiful weather in Central Queensland I have just completed another project with Blackall State School. During the week I worked with students to build on arts skills and create a few more murals around the school. I wish to thank the principal and PCAP for the opportunity to continue the great work. Also derserving of much gratitude are the staff, students, tuckshop, and the community of Blackall for the ongoing support and commitment to youth art initiatives.

The following are a couple of examples from a busy week.

Nanango SHS

Another busy week entailing artwork and education at Nanango State High School. I worked with creative students to complete twenty unique stencilled works on canvas. Following this designs were developed and we took to the wall with the intention to make the schools behavioral expectations more appealing. Thanks to the Famed committee, school staff, students and the tuck shop for making this project very memorable.
