Aramac

Returning to the centre of the universe, Aramac boasts stunning landscape, abundance of wildlife, a world class sculpture trail and friendly locals that love a yarn.

My services were engaged to pimp the Aramac Taxi *Not a real taxi, just a cool car that likes cruisin the 4726, good vibes and cold beer. Legend has it this this rally ready V6 was swapped for 2 sheep and escorted by alien spacecraft back to town whist doing 170km/h. I was more than happy to barter for an incredible vintage Foster’s sign for my collection to remember another awesome experience in Aramac.

I also completed finish line signage for the great folk at the Ballyneety Rodeo Club Inc at the Aramac Racecourse in 50 km/h gusty wind.

Goovigen

I enjoyed my time in Goovigen and what a fantastic small school nestled amongst an array of flora and fauna. Goovigen is located in the Banana Shire and the name comes from the indigenous word for box tree, a species eucalyptus. The mural design includes local crops and livestock, the bottle at the school entrance and the hitching rail used by students who once rode to school on horseback. A big thanks to staff and students for making me feel welcome and the P&C for the opportunity to create an awesome entry statement.

Carina

I recently completed artwork for St Martins at Carina. The steps and seats in the piazza area were in desperate need of some love. With the assistance of the P&F who prepped the area I applied some fresh paint, line marking and artwork. There was a bit of maths involved laying out the design and I learnt a couple of things during the process. The book spines on the stairs were challenging to apply however they turned out great on the newly rendered surfaces. I wish to extend a big thanks to the principal and librarian for keeping me fed with tasty bakery treats and the P&F for the opportunity to work with another fantastic school.

Waterford West

It was fantastic to return to Waterford West State School and continue to work alongside the fabulous P&C. I’m still receiving great feedback on the Tuckshop and the positive affirmation murals completed recently. This time around my services were utilised in the prep undercover play area.

I developed 3 site specific design concepts and the school chose one that should make for a fun backdrop and potential learning tool. The design is a good example of the negative space being more important that the painted sections and I’m really satisfied how well it works in the space.

A huge thanks to the P&C team for seeing this project come to fruition.

Longreach

It was great to see the Longreach Brolga Girl Guide mural project come to fruition. A big thanks to Guide leaders Crocka & Womba and the enthusiastic guides who assisted. I am fabricating a new hand painted sign to be installed soon. The project was kindly funded by RADF.

Winton

As a contractor I have had a mixed range of experiences with local government over the years. In this instance I wish to extend credit to the good folk at Winton Shire Council. Whilst in town for another commission, I made contact regarding a mural completed in 2021 that had suffered recent storm damage. A staff member returned contact the following day, they made appropriate repairs and approved the quote to restore the mural the next. Within a few days from the first point of contact I had completed the work and have since been paid in a timely manner. Thank You for demonstrating local government is capable of competency and being a pleasure to work alongside.

Aramac

Aramac is home to the White Bull & much more. I always feel an authentic kind of wild west vibe here, so many local characters sharing yarns and I enjoy absorbing the epic landscape that surrounds town.

Muttaburra

I headed to Muttaburra from Winton and completed the front of what was once a butcher shop. I applied a faux aged look and kept the design simple to let the architecture feature. These old walls certainly have plenty of character.

Winton

I just completed artwork for the fabulous Matilda Motel in Winton, Queensland. Hand painting a double corrugated north facing tin wall was challenging but the mural has given the site a lift and compliments other recent upgrades. Once again it was awesome to see familiar faces and make new friends ensuring an enjoyable experience.
