In Full 3D

It was great to be invited by the owner of Bay Central Storage to rock out another mural at the business located Wynnum. The 5.2 metre high wall stretches 45 metres in length making it one of my largest works. I spent many hours developing a site spefic design and applied the artwork during recent months between inclement weather. With the rain at bay I was able to get the mural completed working from trestles with a brush in one hand, a spraycan in the other, armed with headphones and museli bars. It is with much excitement I present In Full 3D. 

Metallic Mayhem

There is no such thing as an RDO if your’e consumed by your passion. Making use of every available opportunity, Kosie and I whipped up a quick concept in Capalaba recently.

Birthday Bash

Any excuse to sneak in a quik piece is a good one! Kosie and I celebrated an early morning riverside piece at Murwillumbah.

Bush Sauce

Whilst bushwalking I discovered an interesting find. The “Bush Sauce” plant or  Saucerusstylus a member of the native gumtreeusmaximus family combines a fern-like foliage with a hardwood bark texture growing to several metres in height. Evolving to suit climatic conditions this specimen displays masses of brightly coloured, bird attracting flowers in early summer and produces tasty berries for a nutritious bush sauce. This genuine species is often imitated by noxious weeds however sap-sucking, aphid infested posers are no match for the original.

Endangered Species

A new species of koala has emerged in Redland City and the surrounding areas. The new species is related to Phascolarctos cinereus, however the “Urban Koala” has evolved unique characteristics which include the ability to adapt to suburban environments and a resistance to the STD chlamydia which is devastating other species of koala. A rapid increase numbers is evident as the urban koala can be sighted almost anywhere, anytime, often appearing in shopping centres, cinemas and schools. Commissioned studies have indicated the urban koala can be linked with developers, often sighted carrying briefcases full of cash. This new breed does not display noticible differences in physique to its gum tree dwelling counterpart but it has learnt a basic grasp of the english language and can be heard, regularly stammering, “sorry, that’s not my department”. The koala also displays an ability to write policy documents as it has infiltrated a range of government jobs. Despite being one of approximately sixteen thousand threatened species, the urban koala has successfully dominated local media ensuring youth, community, indigenous and other relevant issues are rarely mentioned. Now positioned at the top of the food chain, the urban koala dictates a complete control where all things are regulated and creative ideas are excluded guaranteeing conformity.

Humans are now the endangered species.

Starshots Surfers Paradise

I relished the opportunity to unleash an abstract piece at Starshots Surfers Paradise. The street looking artwork will be used a a backdrop for upcoming urban style photo shoots.
