It was great to colab with a few artists to freshen up the Moreton Bay Girl Guide hut at Wynnum. Thanks goes out to the Girl Guides who gave us the opportunity to return about 12 years after we completed the original project. I was with good company with experienced artists Rems, Kasino, Skonz and Kradl.
Late last year, we were contacted in the studio by some keen young men from Iona College to create a ‘Seniors’ mural for their school as a leaving gift. The lads wanted something which represented them and their school and something that celebrated their passion for rugby. After some initial consultation with the lads and Father Mark Edwards, the Principal, Sauce smashed out a piece and beast over two days in the sweltering Brisbane humidity.
This week I created a mural at Wynnum West State School which incorporated the school creed and reminded the students to be responsible, respectful and safe learners. The enthusiasm of the students was evident during the lunch breaks and I’m looking forward to working with the school again in the near future.
It was great to be invited by the owner of Bay Central Storage to rock out another mural at the business located Wynnum. The 5.2 metre high wall stretches 45 metres in length making it one of my largest works. I spent many hours developing a site spefic design and applied the artwork during recent months between inclement weather. With the rain at bay I was able to get the mural completed working from trestles with a brush in one hand, a spraycan in the other, armed with headphones and museli bars. It is with much excitement I present In Full 3D.
