/Keeping a busy schedule from Miles I returned to Chinchilla to complete entrance signage for Charleys Creek I envisaged working with the font from the logo and giving it a classic handpainted aesthetic.

It has been great to contribute to the brand new Aramac Motors. The shed has been transformed inside and out, decked out with the latest equipment to cater for all mechanical repairs. I had the pleasure of completing several hanpainted signs for the exterior, and a couple of murals. I always feel welcomed and relaxed in Aramac, although there was a deadline to meet, wind, piercing sun and rain I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the new beginnings of Aramac Motors.
I also whipped up some new signs for the local White Bull Roadhouse whilst in the area.
It’s great to be commissioned to update one of my first ever paid jobs two decades later. During this time I have completed 12 murals at Mt Cotton State School and observed the school go through many changes, continuing to expand. My artwork and skills have also progressed over the years and each time I return to Mt Cotton there’s an element of nostalgia. It’s fantastic to not only have such a supportive client but to have brightened up the school environment for several generations of students. When you have parents say they remember you painting that wall when they were students you’re either getting old or very experienced at your craft!
Over many weeks in the studio and on location in outback Queensland I designed, painted and installed five large signs for the fabulous Acacia Motor Inn, Blackall.
Once again I was excited to head towards Central Queensland. Commencing with week at Longreach State High School four new murals were created with the assistance of a student who completed his work experience under my guidance. The new works build on the success of the first project this year, transforming spaces around the school and passing on some skills and knowledge to the next generation of mural artist. I also took on a couple of commissions whilst in the area ensuring this CQ trip was going to be super productive. The project was supported by Longreach SHS, Longreach Regional Council, FRRR & RADF.
