Today I made some waves at the Breaka Burleigh Pro and painted an artwork which will be auctioned with the proceeds going to charity. There were plenty of questions and cameras in the background while I was painting. I even managed to fit in an interview for the radio. It was nice to be a part of the action.
I am proud to announce that I am a finalist in the International Mural Fest Sheffield. This will be my fourth year as a competitor and I am looking forward to meeting with old friends and seeing some new faces. If you’re in Sheffield for Easter this year, come and visit!
XIX LXIX by Sauce illuminates the possibilities of the space-time continuum, which as humans, we experience without consciousness. Earth is paradoxical by being both monumental and insignificant. Humanity is constantly seeking physical answers to metaphysical questions which creates barriers and restraints on our own freedom.

This week I reached an environmental milestone at Aerograffix, with over three hundred aerosol cans recycled. This was only achievable with the help of the team at Signet who kindly provided Aerograffix with an Aerosolv unit. The Aerosolv unit allows for a safe dispersion of the gas and paint residue or VOCs, which means the cans can be recycled. It’s the small steps like this which work towards reducing our carbon footprint.
January got off to a gutsy and gory start with a five day project at Brisbane Pop Culture, Newstead. Turtle and Em from Brisbane Tattoo requested an Invader Zim and Zombie theme to advertise their latest venture, Brisbane Pop Culture (previously Brisbane Relics), a store dedicated to pop culture collectables. Turtle and Em were great to work for and I really enjoyed the positive feedback from all the passerbys. The Brisbane summer sun and rain tried to get the best of me, but I managed to thrash out some zombies and aliens, regardless of the weather.

In late December 2012, Kosie and I had a pre-birthday bash at the legal wall in my home town, Murwillumbah. It was great to spend some time with a mate and just head out for a good old fashioned paint. As you can see in the pictures, the sun was shining and the paint was flowing, and later in the afternoon the beer was flowing too. I can’t wait to do it all again.

This last week saw me create a Tromp’e Loeil cityscape mural at Portside Wharf, Hamilton. Portside Wharf’s operational organisers required an image which depicted the iconic river and the bustling metropolitan image of Brisbane to decorate the newly renovated interior of the Customs area for the large cruise ships. I designed the mural site specific matching the surrounds and to be viewed on approach rather than directly infront. Applying the 5.4m long X 2.6m high mural predomitaley with brushes and limited use of areosols due to the interior setting made for a very busy but rewarding week.
